CNM Professional Catering Urn / kettle descaler is a non toxic colorless Nitric - Phosphoric Acid based descaler for effective removal of lime-scale and protein deposits from machine dishwashers, water boilers, kettles and most catering equipment. It will remove lime-scale build-up and hard water spotting very quickly and with little effort. Regular Descaling will prolong the life of the catering urn / kettle, reheat times will improve and reduce running costs. For best results apply Descale onto the affected area “NEAT” then after a short period of time “20 minutes” dilute more Descale solution with water (5/1) and leave for up to 4hrs. (For overnight Descaling always dilute with water). Always use protective clothing when using Descale, avoid skin - eyes contact, see safety data sheet for more safety information.

A Descaler that works very well and removes lime scale quickly
Can be used for multiple applications
Ratio: 5 parts water to 1 part descaler solution
200ml of descaler for every 1,000ml of water ratio: 5-1
Regular Descaling will prolong the life of the catering urn / kettle
Eliminates calcium and magnesium hard water mineral deposits
Kettle – Urn reheat times will improve and reduce running costs
Exposure Controls: Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
Respiratory Protection: Not required for normal use
Hand Protection: Wear rubber or PVC gloves.
Eye Protection: When handing neat product wear approved eye protection.
Skin Protection: Not required for normal use but chemical resistant overalls are recommended if handling large quantities of neat material.

Descaling Tea Urns and Kettles:
Dilute 200ml of descaler for every 1,000ml of water required to fill the vessel and then warm the solution, “DO NOT BOIL”. As the water cools allow sufficient contact time for the scale to be removed we would recommend a minimum of 4hrs. Drain then refill with clean water and bring to boil before draining.
