This item says it is suitable up for children up to 3 years of age but I have recently purchased this item for my daughter who is 6 and she still enjoys it. It's nice to have a smaller pool that you can re-fill daily (when the weather is nice and hot) and not have to worry about cleaning the pool out. I would say the construction is very good and having had other Intex pools before would say they are great :-)
