Considerations when buying a Hand Dryer.

When choosing a hand dryer for your public bathroom there are several factors which people normally take into consideration, price, colour, appearance, energy efficiency, noise levels and footfall through the bathroom. But very few people will take into consideration how hygienic they are. The contamination of bacteria which is spread while using hand dryers varies massively depending which product you decide to install.

This is something which needs to be looked into especially in in areas where hygiene is of utmost importance like hospitals and other healthcare settings.

An infographic from the European Tissue Symposium says, “While drying your hands, bacteria is propelled into the air onto users and bystanders. This increases the risk of cross contamination between healthcare workers and the general public.”
