Three phase instant water heaters from Zip, supplying hot water at exactly the temperature selected!


    The Zip DBX range of instant water heaters are for use with three phase power supplies only. The DBX range is available in four different outputs: 18kW, 21kW, 24kW and 27kW. This range of tank less water heaters will supply constant hot water to one or multiple outlets. The outlet temperature of the DBX range are factory set at 50 C; however this can easily be adjusted during installation with a choice of temperature settings from 30 to 60C. The DBX water heaters should be located as close as possible to the supply point, with a maximum pipe run of 2m to prevent any heat losses. The DBX range of water heaters have onsite parts and labour Warranty for peace of mind.

    The DBX instant water heaters will supply constant hot water at 50 C with flow rates ranging from 9.2l/min to 13.8 l/min from a cold water inlet temperature of <1C.

        Am I able to install this water heater myself?

        No: It is recommended that you have a qualified installer of electric instantaneous water heaters. You can either arrange this yourself or we can liaise with yourself and arrange for a qualified engineer to install onsite for you!

        I would like a qualified engineer to install the water heater what is your procedure?

        When you have chosen this option we will call and arrange the installation with you, please note: Installation costs quoted require that POWER, WATER and WASTE are accessible within 1.5 meters (4.9ft) of the installation.

        Will i have to pay any extra if my utilities are not within 1.5m as required?

        All quotes are subject to final site inspection by the Engineer, we will send you a form to confirm that sufficient utilities are available before we arrange anything with you so there should be no extra costs?

        We are not mainland UK customer can we still have the water heater installed by a qualified engineer?

        The full installation is quoted for mainland UK customers, however full installations may be possible for non mainland UK. Please call one of our advisor's to discuss your options.

        We would like installation but we are not sure if the power supply is adequate?

        This particular water heater requires 3 phase supplies, we will always check with you what utilities you have available before we arrange the full onsite installation!

                What is the temperature range of this water heater?

                The temperature is factory set at 50C this selection is variable on installation between 30C and 60C!

                  I rent flats out can I pre-set the temperature so this can’t be tampered with?

                  Yes!

                    Will these water heaters supply enough hot water to fill a bath?

                    The 27kW will be suitable for 1 bath tub supply only!

                      What type of installation are the water heaters most used?

                      The DBX range of water heaters are mainly used for Commercial building projects to supply multiple sinks or basins from one central location. This water heater is widely used in Sports centres, Hair dressing salons, catering industry and for hotel rooms!

                        Before I purchase this water heater i would like a site survey to make sure this water heater is suitable can this be arranged?

                          Is this water heater suitable to work with a solar heated water supply?

                          No the DBX range of water heaters are not suitable for preheated water supplies above 30C. For temperatures above 30C the DEX range of water heater are more suitable for solar heated water supplies from 0C to 70C!

                            Can this water heater be used with wireless remote control ?

                            No!

                              Can this water heater supply multiple bathrooms in a block of flats?

                              Yes this water heater will supply a maximum of two showers at the same time or multiple hand wash basins! The 27kW will supply 1 bath tub or 3 showers or 6 hand wash basins simultaneously!

                                Is this water heater suitable to be used in a hair salon?

                                Yes the DBX range of water heater will supply enough hot water for multiple basins on demand for hair washing eta. The flow rates required for each basin will be 2ltrs a minute therefore this water heater will supply 3 to 6 basins comfortably depending on output chosen!

                                  I have a 13amp power supply will this water heater be suitable?

                                  No, 3 phase supply only, this water heater is not suitable for single phase household supplies!

                                    Can this Water Heater be used to supply a shower?

                                    Yes all the DBX range will supply a minimum of 2 showers and the DBX27kW will supply 3 showers comfortably!

                                      Can the DBX range of Instantaneous Water Heaters be used with mixer taps or shower mixers?

                                      Yes!

                                        Can the DBX range of Instantaneous Water Heaters be used with sensor taps?

                                        Yes, Zip have a wide range of sensor taps please call CNM customer services team for more information!

                                          Can the DBX range of Instantaneous Water Heaters be used with open taps?

                                          Yes, but we would always recommend spray head taps!

                                            What power supply do I need for the 3 phase Instantaneous Water Heaters?

                                            The 18kW =26A, 21kW =30A, 24kW = 35A 27kW =39A per phases!

                                              I have very high water pressure will this affect the Stiebel-Eltron`s performance?

                                              The DBX range of instantaneous water heaters have inbuilt water regulator so it will control fluctuating water pressures ranging from 1bar up to 10bar if you are unsure of your cold water supply pressure you can ask your water supplier to check this for you free of charge!

                                                I don’t have a mains water supply can I use the DBX range of instantaneous water heaters with the cold water feed supply from a header tank?

                                                No the DBX ranges of water heaters require mains pressure only with a minimum inlet pressure of 1bar!

                                                  I have a problem with lime scale will the DBX range of water heater be suitable?

                                                  The DBX ranges of water heaters are suitable for hard water areas!

                                                    If I have a problem after warranty do you have spare parts for this water heater?

                                                    Yes we have spares for all the Zip water heaters, please call our sales team for any spare part enquiries!

                                                      What pipe fittings do I need for this water heater?

                                                      The pipe fittings are standard UK 15mm (½” BSP) pipe fittings. We supply fittings to enable a quick and easy installation!

                                                        I have limited space, can this water heater be installed in a different room to my supply points?

                                                        We would recommend that the closer to the supply points the better however you can fit this water heater in another room or cupboard. We would recommend a maximum of 2 meters away for each intended supply point!

                                                          Can I install the DBX range of instantaneous water heaters in an outbuilding that is not heated?

                                                          We do not recommend that the DBX range of water heaters are installed in a room where it may be subject to freezing!
