Details

The Red Top fly trap is widely used in farms or anywhere there is a fly problem such as near rivers, dykes, fields, woods, animals or even war zones. Once placed outside away from the infected area or problem the flies will simply be more attracted to the pheromone inside the Red Top Trap. The more flies that become attracted to the site, enhances the catch rate. The amount of flies then entering the home or area you are trying to protect will have a significant reduction in all types of flies. This reduction in flies will allow any standard fly killer to keep on top of the stragglers. The Fly trap that guarantees to do what it is designed to do - Catch Flies!

The RED TOP fly trap uses a safe and biodegradable bait which gets the flies before they get to you! Ideal for protecting gardens, catering facilities, farms, smallholdings, stables, kennels, abattoirs, bird aviaries, Zoos, anywhere that has fly problems!

  • Hotel for flies, they can easily check in but they will never check out!
  • Please note: This RED TOP fly catcher is the original and not a cheap copy!
  • Add 1 litre of water to the rep-top bait and hang away from your protected area
  • Works for 3-4 months sometimes even longer and catches up to 20,000
  • The redtop should be placed about ~ 10m (30ft) away from the area that you want to protect
  • Hang about 2-2.4 m (6-8 ft) off the ground in direct sunlight
  • The pheromone in the trap is triggered by UV light the sunnier it is, the faster it starts working!
  • Have been used for successful fly control since 1981
  • Works even with fruit flies and pesticide resistant flies, catching them faster than any other trap on the market!
  • Require no electricity and at less than 1p per 100 flies, an economical solution to your fly problem
  • Used worldwide

I'm so pleased my cheap indoor lantern fly killer blew the bulb because when I looked into purchasing a better quality one for indoors, the RED TOP was recommended to me as an additional outdoor fly killer. It's very reasonably priced so I thought why not. Well, OMG, my husband and I cannot believe how effective it is! Why have never heard of one of these before. We have had it less than a week and we cannot believe the number of flies in it - hundreds already! I hate flies in the house; when you think about what else they've been crawling on and they come in the house and land on your work surfaces or your food, yak!! We have a 2000 gallon koi pond about three metres away from our conservatory doors which most probably doesn't help as far as flies are concerned and we have a large conservatory with an apex roof and the flies always seem to gather/hover just inside around the middle top window above the doors; well, there has definitely been less flies coming in. The RED TOP is a bit smelly but my husband has hung it on a twisted hazelnut tree which is in the middle of a shrubbery which is about 4 metres deep and about 5 metres away from the house. On walking past it on the lawn, I have not smelt it once. I don't know what's in it, but my goodness the flies like it. At this rate, I'm going to be buying another one before the end of this summer!
I would not hesitate to highly recommend this product to anyone, unless, of course, you like flies; DIY pest control!

Thank you for my order which was received very promptly. As we had a major fly issue this was a great help. I am glad to say the Solo Insect Trap works extremely well and doesn't look unsightly in our kitchen. I will certainly recommend your company to other people. (Posted on 03/12/2012)

This really is incredible. Took about a week to really get going but now packed with stinky flies. The contents do get a bit smelly after a while but as long as you don't have it hanging near the house it shouldn't be a problem. Definitely noticed a reduction in flies in the conservatory and house despite having a puppy. (Posted on 20/08/2012)

I was a little dubious about this product. As instructed we put it about 45 feet from the house. There was definate reduction in the number of flies in the home and withing 3 weeks there were literally THOUSANDS of flies in this trap. Amazing. Highly recommended. (Posted on 20/08/2012)

I bought this a couple of weeks ago as we have chickens, rabbits and guinea pigs in our garden so our conservatory had become the place for flies to meet! We couldn't sit or eat in there as there were so many flies, we couldn't leave the door into the house open as the flies would go off to explore and cooking was a nightmare BUT after reading the reviews here I decided it was worth a go. Easy to set up, hung on the fence at the back of the garden and is now full of flies, we have had the odd fly who has ventured into the conservatory but that is it! The chicken coop is fly free, the house is fly free!
I am just about to buy a second so I can continue this fly free living! If like me the flies were making your life uncomfortable do not delay buy one now!

Been inundated with loads of general house flies, this does the trick. Within hours of it going up it was catching the little blighters, and keeping them out of the house! (Posted on 20/08/2012)

Having a house full of animals, we are usually plagued by flies in the summer. Not since I purchased the Red Top Fly Trap. It started off in a fairly prominent position in the garden but didn't look great, so was moved out of sight. It has more than done what it says on the label. A very good product which I will be replacing again next summer. (Posted on 20/08/2012)

I was sceptical, but it really does work. The flies line up to get into it and die by the hundreds. Quite amazing. I still get a few flies in the house (the trap has to be hung outside, it has a bad smell to the human nose, although the flies love it) but nothing like before. The only problem is it fills up so fast that I need a new one every week or so. Fly control is getting to be quite expensive, but it's worth it. (Posted on 20/08/2012)

I was amazed at how effective this simple trap is. Situated close to our chicken run it has reduced the fly population by at least 90 percent. The only downside is that I think it will be full within 2-3 weeks. Have ordered more to ensure a fly free summer - I hope! (Posted on 20/08/2012)

I bought 2 of these last year as I live in the country and have been plagued by fruit flies, and other flies, year after year. This really works. Disposal's a bit stinky - I didn't fancy emptying it on the compost heap. I've bought more for this year and already they're trapping loads of flies. A great product. (Posted on 20/08/2012)

It works! It really works! Better in warmer weather, brilliantly in hot weather, but that's when most flies are around. We'll be interested to see what happens this year when the cluster/house fly problem starts up round here, but we're optimistic. (Posted on 20/08/2012)

Was slightly sceptical at first but it has sorted my fly problem in a jiffy. Fantastic if like me you are surrounded by farmland, stops them before they even reach the house. (Posted on 20/08/2012)

The Red Top I bought is working a treat outside. I also bought an EcoLamp Insect Killer and that seems very effective on the upstairs landing near a roof-light where flies congregate. It's so good, I'll need a replacement glue board before too long (Posted on 20/08/2012)
