Redring Autosensor Instant Hand Wash Unit 3kW
AV3S is an automatic, non-touch, activated over basin instantaneous electric hand wash unit, 3kW rated for hand washing duty use. With an automatic sensor operation ideal for hygiene sensitive environments and a very compact over basin mounted unit, 3kW rated for hand washing duty.
The Redring’s main feature is its patented vortex spray nozzle that eliminates limescale build-up so it is ideal for hard water areas. Approximately 60% of the UK suffers with hard water which is mainly in the Eastern side of England. Hard water areas in the UK are from the Isle of White, right up to the northern parts of Yorkshire and as far west as Bristol and Birmingham.
The Redring Automatic water heater is activated when the hand is passed by the green sensor lens at the front; this water heater will also turn itself off in the same way. The Redring is timed to shut-off at approximately 20 seconds after it is activated!

How does the auto sensor work on the Redring?
The water heater is activated when the hand is passed by the green sensor lens; this water heater will also turn itself off in the same way!
Can the Redring automatic be activated accidentally by walking past it?
The Redring is activated automatically by the sensor from a range of 50mm (2") away from the green lens, this limited sensor range ensure correct operation every time!
How long will the water heater work when activated?
The Redring instant water heater will operate for a maximum of 20 seconds before shutting itself off, or you can simply pass your hand over the sensor again to stop it!
I have a 13amp power supply will the Redring be suitable?
Yes the Redring 3kW will work with a 13amp power supply!
Can you fit a UK 13amp plug to the Redring instant water heater?
No all instant water heaters must be installed by a competent electrician and for safety reasons they must be hard wired to a suitable power supply!
Does the Redring automatic need any accessories for installation?
No accessories required for the Redring automatic. Does not need any expansion kits and uses standard 15mm pipe fittings!
What size cable do I need for the Redring instant water heater?
The 3kW requires 1.5mm cable (minimum) with a maximum cable length of 17M!
I have very high water pressure will this affect the Redring`s performance?
The Redring instant water heaters have an inbuilt water stabiliser so it will regulate fluctuating water pressures ranging from 0.7bar up to 7bar if you are unsure of your cold water supply pressure you can ask your water supplier to check this for you free of charge!
I dont have a mains water supply can I use the Redring instant water heater?
Yes you can use a header tank feed but this would need to give a minimum head pressure of 0.7bar (10psi) this can be achieved with a cistern type water header tank giving a minimum head of 10 meters (33ft)!
I have a problem with lime scale will the Redring be suitable?
The Redring has a special Vortex spray nozzles that eliminates the need for descaling and therefore needs very little maintenance. If you live in the Easter parts of England then you are more likely to have a problem with limescale!
Do you have spare parts for the Redring instant water heater?

What pipe fittings do I need for the Redring instant water heater?
The pipe fittings are standard UK 15mm pipe fittings, we supply the fittings to enable the installer to connect directly to the cold water 15mm supply pipe, there should be no need to purchase any special fittings for a full installation!
I have limited space to have the Redring installed what height should it be installed above the sink?
The manufacturers recommend that the bottom of the Redring should be 200mm (7.87 inches) from the basin or sink level!
Can I install the Redring in an outbuilding that is not heated?
Redring do not recommend that the water heater is installed in a room where it may be subject to freezing!
How far from the wall is the Redring spray nozzle?
The Redring vortex spray nozzle will protrude 200mm (7.87 inches) from the wall!
If I have a problem with the Redring who do I contact?
Redring have a customer help line on 08443727766 (UK Only) they will need to know the Model number and serial number on the bottom of the heater. Redring will also want to know when and where you purchased the goods, if you have forgotten your date of purchase please call our customer services team on 01977 663331 and we will help you with all the information you require.

All deliveries have a standard charge of £7.99 + VAT up to 20kg. Where stated, certain products are delivered FREE of charge (mainland UK only*). Check the description of the desired product and if it says free delivery then you will not be charged for delivery*

Where the weight is over 20kg we reserve the right to charge more dependent on product type and delivery postcode, our customer service team will be in touch and inform you of any extra charges before we despatch.
Delivery Times
All products will have a delivery time stated in their description. Next Working Day - these products will be delivered Next Working Day if ordered before 12.00, or in certain circumstances up until 4:00 pm. Please call if you require a Next Working Day and we will try our best to get it to you. Certain products will state within 48hrs, within 3 Days or within 5 days. These products will be delivered within the time stated. If you require delivery on a certain day please put this in the comments and we will aim to deliver on that day.
Certain products such as radiators are delivered after 5 working days, when purchasing a radiator please put in the desired delivery date which is 5 working days after ordering. In some cases, stock permitting, we can get radiators out sooner. Please call or put in the customer comments if you need something urgently and we will try our best.
