Is there any hiden charges with this installation?
The installation includes everything and more. The engineers will install some of the extras you dont normally get with a new boiler installation, this could be the inline water filter, flushing, cleaning of the old pipework and new inhibitor solution to the correct Ph. The new pipework will be press fit connections there will be no soldering - hot work involved. Press fit joints are more reliable and trouble free.
Can the boiler be fitted on a timber framed building?
Yes, If the boiler is to be fitted in a timber framed building it should be fitted in accordance with the Institute of Gas Engineering document IGE/UP/7:2006 - Edition 2
Can the heat only Boiler be installed in any room?
The Heat only boiler can be installed in any room or internal space. Please note: Particular attention is drawn to the requirements of the current IEE (BS.7671) Wiring Regulations and the electrical provisions of the building regulations applicable in Scotland, with respect to the installation of the boiler in a room or internal space containing a bath or shower. For IE reference should be made to the current ETCI rules for electrical installations and I.S. 813:2002.
Can the heat only boiler be installed in a bathroom?
This boiler is rated IP20, therefore if the appliance is to be installed in a room containing a bath or shower then, providing water jets are not going to be used for cleaning purposes (as in communal baths/showers), the appliance must be installed beyond Zone 2, as detailed in BS.7671.
Is the Heat only boiler compatible to manage your heating and hot water via the Hive app on your phone?
Yes the heat only boiler will work with the Hive Active Heating And Hot Water Self Install kit, manufacturers code V2HAHKITHEAT&HW-01
Is the heat only boiler compatible with small-bore and microbore systems?
Yes, the central heating system should be in accordance with BS.6798 and, in addition, for small-bore and microbore systems, BS.5449
What guarantee will i get with my new boiler?
Your boiler comes with a 10 year parts and labour warranty available when registered within 30 days of the installation. Our engineers will help you fill in all the paperwork. All you have to do is have the boiler serviced annually by a registered gas safe engineer!
How much will the first year service cost?
The first years standard service will be fixed at £60+Vat. However our customers will receive a 20% discount on the first annual service on any boiler installed by our engineers!
Advantages and Disadvantages of Heat only Boiler Installations
Disadvantages Conventional Boiler
1. Pressure flow for showers and hot water can be low
2. You'll need space for the hot and cold feed tanks
3. Conventional boilers aren't as efficient as combi boilers as there will be heat loss as hot water is stored
4. Your hot water can run out and take time to reheat
5. Hot water isn't supplied on demand as you need to heat it in advance
6. You'll need space for the hot and cold feed tanks
Advantages Conventional Boiler
1. They still work well even if your mains pressure is low
2. You'll still get hot water even if someone is running the shower and the kitchen taps at the same time
3. They're easy to maintain as they have a simple design
4. You can install an immersion heater to the hot water cylinder to use if the boiler breaks down
5. Conventional boilers are compatible with older central heating systems

Delivery Charges
All deliveries have a standard charge of £7.99 + VAT up to 20kg. Where stated, certain products are delivered FREE of charge (mainland UK only*). Check the description of the desired product and if it says free delivery then you will not be charged for delivery*
Extra Charges
Where the weight is over 20kg we reserve the right to charge more dependent on product type and delivery postcode, our customer service team will be in touch and inform you of any extra charges before we despatch.
Delivery Times
All products will have a delivery time stated in their description. Next Working Day - these products will be delivered Next Working Day if ordered before 12.00, or in certain circumstances up until 4:00 pm. Please call if you require a Next Working Day and we will try our best to get it to you. Certain products will state within 48hrs, within 3 Days or within 5 days. These products will be delivered within the time stated. If you require delivery on a certain day please put this in the comments and we will aim to deliver on that day.
Certain products such as radiators are delivered after 5 working days, when purchasing a radiator please put in the desired delivery date which is 5 working days after ordering. In some cases, stock permitting, we can get radiators out sooner. Please call or put in the customer comments if you need something urgently and we will try our best.
